First public release of Minimalia. Lightweight, privacy-first browsing — now available for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Features
Browsing
- Tabbed browsing — multiple tabs with close, reopen, and switch shortcuts
- Pin tabs to keep them across sessions; pinned tabs are protected from accidental close
- Duplicate tabs (Ctrl+Shift+D) to fork the current page in a new tab
- Session restore — optionally reopen the previous window on next launch, including pinned tabs
- Private browsing — isolated profile, no history or cookies persisted
- Multiple search engines — Google, DuckDuckGo, Bing, or custom URL
- Three experience modes — Minimalia (custom homepage), Cleanups (declutter), or Default
Privacy & Ad Blocking
- Ad blocker using Brave's adblock engine with EasyList filters
- Promotion blocking for Bing and DuckDuckGo search results
- AI feature removal — strips AI overviews, Copilot, and AI chat from Google/Bing/DuckDuckGo
- HTTPS-only mode — silently upgrades http:// requests to https:// site-wide
- Site permissions — explicit prompts for camera, microphone, location, notifications, and other sensitive APIs
- WebRTC IP-leak protection — prevents real IP exposure through WebRTC
- Cookie control — choose to persist or clear on exit
- Search history toggle — enable or disable completely

Limitations
- Google sign-in is blocked — Google flags QtWebEngine-based browsers as "not secure" and blocks sign-in to Google services. This is a Google-side policy and affects all similar embedded-browser projects.
- Bing is experimental — the Microsoft Bing search engine option may not work reliably in all cases and can behave unexpectedly.
